One of the most outstanding of the Leucadendrons. Growing into a medium shrub up to 2m height and spread. It has an erect habit with grey-green foliage. The bracts are red and surrounded by creamy-yellow leaves. It is a great garden plant and good for cut foliage. The name discolor refers to the male flowers that are red in bud and then turn yellow as the pollen appears. Protect from severe frost. Another great member of the Protea family.
